Routine Wellness Exams

Like you, large animal’s health needs to be monitored annually. We offer routine wellness exams so that we can make sure your large animal is on the right track of health, and so we can manage their ongoing care to achieve optimum health.

Pre-Purchase Exams

Before the purchase of a horse, a pre-purchase exam is conducted to identify any preexisting problems which may hinder a horse’s future performance and reduce buyer risk.

Digital Radiography
Modern technology allows us to treat your pet like never before. Not all illness or injuries can be seen by the naked eye – that’s where digital x-rays come into play. Digital X-rays are routinely used to diagnose and examine broken bones, obstructions, arthritis, masses, and tumors. We use digital X-rays to also confirm pregnancies or detect ingested objects.

Quicker diagnosis leads to quicker treatment.

Class IV Therapeutic Laser
Is your pet in pain? We can help. Cold laser therapy is a noninvasive procedure that uses light to stimulate cell regeneration and increase blood circulation. Cold laser therapy treats the surface of the skin, while hot laser treatments affect deeper tissues. This procedure is used to treat acute and chronic injuries, sprains and strains, arthritis, swelling due to back disc problems, and muscular-skeletal abnormalities, and helps to regenerate nerve tissue after surgery.
Bangs Vaccination

Brucellosis is a contagious, infectious, and communicable disease affecting primarily cattle, bison, and swine that is caused by bacteria of the genus Brucella. We make sure to protect your pet from this disease with a vaccination.

Routine and Emergency Surgery

We know how stressful it can be when your pet is undergoing an operation. We’ll be there from start to finish. From providing instructions to the night before to morning prep, pre-anesthetic bloodwork, during the procedure, and sending home post-op care instructions for you.

After-Hours Emergency Services
We know that it can get scary when the unexpected happens. Not to worry, we offer after-hours emergency care so that we can be there when you need us most. Please be sure to call us if you are experiencing an emergency.
Lameness Exams

If your large animal is having issues moving around or standing, we’ll be there to help determine the cause of the issue – trauma, congenital or acquired disorders, infection, metabolic disorders, or nervous and circulatory system disease.

Herd Exams

A herd exam is where our team examines animals’ body condition, skin problems, lameness issues, and ectoparasite problems. We’ll look at lifestyle, pasture quality, nutrition, and other health factors.

Ultrasonography
Ultrasonography, or an ultrasound, is a diagnostic imaging technique similar to radiography (X-rays) and is usually used in conjunction with radiography and other diagnostic measures. It allows visualization of the deep structures of the body.

Ultrasound can be used for a variety of purposes including examination of the animal’s heart, kidneys, liver, gallbladder, bladder, etc. It can also be used to determine pregnancy and to monitor an ongoing pregnancy. Ultrasound can detect fluid, cysts, tumors or abscesses.

Coggins/Health Certificates

Coggins Papers are to test for a disease called Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA). This is a federally regulated disease and is deadly to horses.

Health Certificates are to ensure that horses being transported are healthy and not potentially exposing innocent horses to disease. Health certificates require that a USDA certified inspect the horse and declare it healthy upon inspection.

Reproductive Services
Looking to increase conception rates? Using one of two methods, we can assist you in determining the optimum time to breed your dogs and enhance the success of pregnancy. We offer Reproduction Planning, Vaginal Cytology, and Caesarian Section services to your pet.
Strategic Deworming Consultation

Aligning deworming application treatments with pasture management and parasite activity can help you improve the health of your animals. To accomplish this, we plan ahead to control parasites year-round.

Ambulatory Services

Ambulatory care or outpatient care is medical care provided on an outpatient basis, including diagnosis, observation, consultation, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation services. We offer this for wellness exams and vaccinations.

Compassionate care for the pets you love!
